Hennessey Signatures

In 1919 Arthur Hennessey began teaching children how to build model yachts and the fundamentals of sailing the models on Redd’s Pond in Marblehead. After Arthur Hennessey’s death. his widow, Margaret B. Hennessey, continued the classes for children. Model sailing yachts are still sailed on Redd’s Pond. Originally, sticks were used to change the direction of the yachts. Radio control is now used to direct the small sailboats.
