Mint condition, although the candlesticks have been used (by the family), and I have not tried to clean them inside.

This set was on loan (from the collection of Mark Bassett and George Cooper) to the Cleveland Museum of Art several years ago for their major exhibition, a collaboration with the Cooper-Hewitt Design Museum, THE JAZZ AGE: AMERICAN STYLE IN THE 1920s.

In November 1922 Howard Carter and his colleague Lord Carnavon rediscovered the Tomb of "King" Tut Ankh Amun, an archaeological find that made headlines around the world. The brilliant blue Egyptian faience used for many of the ushabti (or "shawabit") figurines inspired Arthur Baggs, who also recreated the glaze and adapted a lotus-decorated pillar design, decorated with similar figures.
